HUMAN TRAFFICKING SUSPECTS BUSTED:
A massive and mostly secretive police operation has taken down one of "America's Most Wanted Fugitives." The defendant Jason Antoine Beasley (23) who was arrested in March, netted "tens of thousands of dollars a week utilizing multiple trafficking victims at one time," District Attorney Nancy O’Malley said.
Jason Beasley was charged with:
Two Counts Of First-degree Human Trafficking, Two Counts Of First-degree Human Trafficking By Purchasing Advertising For A Commercial Sex Act Featuring A Depiction Of A Minor, Two Counts Of Second-degree Human Trafficking, And Two Counts Of Third-degree Endangering The Welfare Of A Child, Conspiracy To Commit Murder In Aid Of Racketeering; Attempted Murder, Sex Trafficking Of A Minor By Force, Fraud Or Coercion; Fraud, Extortion, Kidnapping, Transporting Women And Girls Interstate For Prostitution; Using Motels And Hotels Interstate To Promote Prostitution; Conspiracy To Commit Human Trafficking, Human Trafficking, Pimping, Pandering, Kidnap For Rape, Kidnap For Extortion, Kidnap For Robbery, Assault With A Deadly Weapon, Torture, Armed Robbery, Rape And Being A Felon In Possession Of Firearms. Since at least 2009 through March of 2014, Beasley recruited women to work as prostitutes for him using Philip Beasley's Instagram account. Beasley referred to his prostitution business as the “program” and advertised the women on Backpages.com. The women were sometimes driven to other states and forced to perform sexual acts. Jason Beasley & Philip Beasley recovered and kept most, if not all, of the money generated by the sexual acts.
"This operation was the largest so far and involved nine FBI field offices and six child exploitation task forces working with federal, state and local law enforcement agencies, conducting investigations in three major cities." Alameda County District Attorney Nancy O’ Malley said.
The undercover operations led by investigators took place at hotels, casinos, truck stops and other areas known to be frequented by prostitutes, sex traffickers and their customers. Authorities used wiretaps, conducted stakeouts and deployed confidential informants which connected the trio to a sprawling sex-trafficking operation that spanned from San Francisco to Las Vegas, and Los Angeles, investigators said.
The State Of California has numerous victims which are pursuing criminal charges, copious amounts of evidence collected by federal investigators, cooperating suspects, and several key witnesses that can identify Jason Beasley as the suspect in many of his violent crimes. “In the coming days and weeks, we’ll work closely with the District Attorney Nancy E. O'Malley to ensure that Beasley is prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law,” Special Agent Burke said..
Currently Jason Beasley is in custody, being held at Santa Rita Jail, without bail. If convicted, he could face 300 years in a State Prison and be ordered to pay $2,250,000 in restitutions.
